Join us in celebrating and honoring queer youth and allies on Saturday, May 13, 2023 for the 26th Annual Queer Youth Leadership Awards.
Join us for the 26th Annual Queer Youth Leadership Awards as we honor LGBTQIA+ students and their allies throughout the county! We can’t wait to host you for a night of celebration and fun at the Watsonville High School quad. Our outdoor event will feature heat lamps, but you may want to bring a jacket for the cooler evening. Come early for the resource fair at 6pm, then enjoy a delicious catered buffet dinner by D’La Colmena Catering at 6:30pm.
This year we will recognize our brave LGBTQIA+ youth for their activism and authenticity while we reflect on the progress and milestones of our youth over the past 25 years. Our two-hour awards show starts at 7:30pm and includes live music, dance, and inspiring videos from our nominees. We look forward to you joining us in celebrating our LGBTQIA+ youth and allies in our first in-person event in two years.
To create a safe and healthy in-person awards ceremony for our nominees and awardees, their proud families and supporters, our guests, our volunteers, and our elected officials, our event will take place outside.
QYLA is traditionally held the second Saturday in May.
