The Ally to Queer Youth Award is a non-monetary award presented to one individual of any age that has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, or Intersex youth, and youth who have GLBTI family members. Nominees for the Ally to Queer Youth Leadership Award should be individuals who actively work to create support or safe spaces for queer youth.
We encourage nominations for roles models representing various races, cultures, languages, religions, ages, genders, sexualities, classes, abilities levels of education, and geographical location.

The Queer Youth Leadership Awards are produced by the Queer Youth Task Force.
Nomination Statement Guidelines: Include at least 3 detailed examples of leadership of the following for the ally you are nominating. (If you would like to read a sample of a previous nomination in this category, please click here: sample):
- How has this person interrupted oppression, discrimination or harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity?
- How has this person worked to increase the visibility of Queer people?
- How has this person worked to create support for Queer Youth and allies?
- How does this person stand out as a leader above others?
